Help Us

Dear Brothers,

I am a concerned alum from the Upsilon chapter of the Delta Sigma
Phi Fraternity. For those that do not know, the Upsilon chapter is
located at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster PA, and has been
a part of Delta Sigma Phi for almost 100 years!

Recently, Franklin & Marshall College created a mandatory on-campus
living requirement for all students. This allowed students to live in
either campus dorms, or off campus "approved housing." This
requirement gave the college the control to determine what houses
students live in. Unfortunately for us, the College deemed our house
in its current state unfit for College Housing approval, which means
no brothers can live in it. We also were not able to afford new fire
resistant doors mandated by Lancaster City housing codes and the City
condemned our property until we replace the current doors with fire
resistant doors.

The main goal of the College's living requirement is safety. Our chapter
house is old...over 100 years old. There are a lot of problems with
plumbing, wiring, and fire safety that have accrued over the years.

Now, we need your help...

As brothers of the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity, I ask you to help
support the Upsilon chapter. We must raise $100,000 in order to make
necessary improvements or our house will stand there for all of us to
look at but not use...that means no more rituals, brothers meetings,
new member recruitment or just general brotherhood activities.

I've set up a pay pal account and ask that each brother around the
nation donate $10. If enough members from a specific chapter donate
money, the Upsilon Chapter has decided to dedicate new rooms in your
honor.

For the chapter that donates the most, we will name our ritual room after you.

When we pledged, we all promised to give back to Delta Sigma Phi. We
need to stand together in these tough economic times to ensure that
our fraternity thrives. Please help us, brothers. This may be our
only shot...

YITBOS,

Ian Group
